What Can We Talk About?
These sessions are designed to help you get clarity on the nutrition questions that matter most to people living with Parkinson’s disease. Whether you’re trying to make sense of protein timing with medication, looking for strategies to ease constipation, or wondering how to make meals more enjoyable, you’ll get answers grounded in the latest research and real-world experience.
Some examples of questions we can cover:
• “I’m confused about the possible protein and medication interaction. What should I know?”
• “What foods help ease constipation?”
• “How can I punch up the flavor of my food when things taste bland?”
• “What is the best diet for Parkinson’s?”
If it’s a nutrition question related to Parkinson’s, it’s welcome here.
A few important notes:
• This Q&A is not a substitute for personal medical advice or one-on-one nutrition counseling.
• Some questions, like those about detailed medication adjustments, complex digestive issues (such as SIBO), or highly individualized medical concerns, are best handled one-on-one with your healthcare team or in a private consultation.
My goal is to share practical, evidence-based guidance that can help you feel more confident making everyday nutrition choices for Parkinson’s.

Note on Privacy and Meeting Summaries
To help me better serve this community, I use Zoom’s AI Companion to generate a private summary of each Q&A session. This summary is for my reference only and helps me track common questions and themes, so I can create even more helpful resources for you.

-
How it works: At the start of each session, you’ll see a notification in Zoom that AI Companion is running. This tool captures a summary of the discussion, but not a recording or transcript.
-
Your privacy matters: The summary is not shared with anyone else and is used only to improve future newsletters, blog posts, and educational content. Sessions are not recorded, and your individual questions or names are not included in public materials.
Do I need to register for each session?
Yes, you’ll need to register separately for each Q&A session you’d like to attend. This helps keep things organized and ensures you get the correct Zoom link for each date.
Who can attend these Q&A sessions?
Anyone living with Parkinson’s disease, care partners, and family members are welcome. Whether you have a question or just want to listen in, you’re invited.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
You’re welcome to ask about nutrition and Parkinson’s disease-things like meal planning, protein and medication timing, constipation, flavor tips, and more. Please note: I can’t provide personalized medical advice or address highly complex or individualized issues (like specific medication changes or unique digestive conditions). Those are best handled with your healthcare team or in a private consultation.
Will my privacy be protected?
Absolutely. Sessions are not recorded, but I do use Zoom’s AI Companion to generate a private summary for my own reference. This helps me track common questions and improve resources, but your personal information and specific questions will not be shared publicly.
Do I have to turn on my camera or microphone?
No. You can participate in whatever way feels comfortable - on camera, off camera, by typing in the chat, or just listening.

Will sessions be recorded or shared?
No, sessions are not recorded or publicly shared. The only record is the private summary generated by Zoom’s AI Companion, which is for my use only.
Is this a substitute for a personal nutrition consultation?
No. These sessions are for general education and support. For individualized recommendations or complex concerns, please schedule a private consultation.
Can care partners or family members join?
Yes! Care partners and family members are encouraged to attend and participate.
